Jerome Robinson Jr. was born on December 7, 1980 in Sumter, South Carolina. He began his entrepreneurship at the age of ten by making jewelry out of beads and yarn to sell to his classmates at school. Then at age fifteen, he started a car wash/ auto tint installation business. Still, as a young boy, he had always been interested in fitness and self-defense tactics. Finally, at the age of twenty-one, he began training in fitness and the Martial Arts where he found his true passion. Over the next few years, he improved his martial arts skills that have earned him the rank of 3rd Degree Black belt under the direction of Master Danny Lane, President of the World Martial Arts Federation. To share his passion with others, he started training client out of his garage on a weekly basis. As his clientele increased, he had to relocate his Martial Arts business twice before his final move into a 4,000 sq. ft. building. Programs taught at his gym include: boxing, karate, wrestling, BJJ, Sambo, fitness, and more. He trains youth, men, and women in the martial arts but he is also a certified instructor in boot camp, personal training, strength and conditioning techniques. After years of hard work and determination, he is now the proud owner of a very successful martial arts and fitness business.
Giving back to the community is important to Jerome. He spends a lot of time in the community educating youth on the importance of no bullying. His community volunteer work consists of donating school supplies to the back to school program, coat drive for the homeless, and no cost training for ladies that have been a victim of domestic violence. As the owner of Team Robinson MMA, Mr. Robinson's goal is to improve the positive mental focus, and fitness levels of as many individuals as possible.
When I was twenty-two years old, I started my own company, “Elite Protection Agency, LLC.” My company train individuals on how to obtain their concealed weapons permit which includes safety use of handguns; South Carolina laws on the use of deadly force, and South Carolina laws on self defense. Also, individuals learn self defense techniques; they can potentially earn a black belt in karate, and train to become an Executive Protection Specialist. I am currently part owner of Tactical Security & Protection Agency, LLC which was established in 2013.
I became an armed security officer for the state of South Carolina in 2008. Since my certification, I’ve been on several bodyguard details and I am a nationally certified personal trainer that has been changing people’s lives for the past four years. Additionally, I have earned 36 college credits toward an Associate’s of Arts Degree in Business Management.

For three years, I was mixed martial arts instructor for an after school youth program called “Project Excellence.” This program assists youths with college preparation such as taking the SAT/ ACT, HSAP, Work Keys, and E.O.C Practice. It also had clubs and organizations in which the students can participate in such as PE Showstoppers Step Team, Voice of Excellence Choir, Mixed Martial Arts, and many more. Activities include Intramural Basketball, Spoken Word Poetry, Internet News Program, and filmmaking. This after school program was an excellent way for me to interact with young people in the community. Plus, it was a way to keep them off the streets and become productive citizens in society.
